A fellow from Nevada came up with this ingenious device that takes the weight of your detector formerly supported by a bungee at your shoulder and transfers that weight to your hip.

HipStick lets your hips shoulder the load

The HipStick is a device intended to reduce shoulder,arm and back fatigue when using any Metal Detector.

It’s designed to work right or left handed with any Metal Detecting Field Pack that uses a bungee support system. Or with the HipStick Shoulder Strap

The HipStick works by transferring the load from the shoulder to the hip belt. Much the same way a frame backpack allows the hips to shoulder the load.

* Using the HipStick,

  • First note how the micro bungee is wrapped around the lower shaft.
  • The HipStick has 3 parts: 1 the wand, 2 the belt clip, 3 the micro bungee.
  • First clip the HipStick to your shoulder D ring
    • Next slide on the belt clip then set the ball in the belt clip
  • The micro bungee is used to retain the ball in the socket and hold the wand when not in use.

    • Simply slip the belt clip on near the tip of your hip bone, clip the wand to your shoulder D ring, set the ball in the socket and use the HipStick’s D ring for your bungee.

    This is an amazing device and will allow those that have formerly had problems hunting for long periods of time to do so with ease and using large coils is suddenly almost effortless!
