Trilby Wash L4-S1-W4, Maricopa County, Arizona

This Stone Chondrite was found by William Southern on January 13th 2005 with a Minelab GP3000 metal detector while hunting gold nuggets. This Meteorite was classified at Arizona State University by Lora Bleacher and will be published in the next Meteoritical Bulletin. To date there is only 846.39 grams of this material found after countless hours of searching. All the pieces found so far appear to be from the same individual and were found within 50 feet of each other. The main mass weighs 465 grams and is pictured below with a 89 gram specimen that was donated to ASU after classification.

Inside this meteorite shows a beautiful burnt orange matrix with some interesting chondrules, some of these chondrules are quite large. There is also allot of visible metal as well as other interesting inclusions in this new meteorite. For ASU's classification report "click here"

Below you will find some slices and small pieces as they were found for sale. There is not much of this material being made available so if you collect Arizona Meteorites and don't want to miss out on this exciting NEW find you had better act fast.

Franconia H5-S3-W2, Mohave County, Arizona

This Stone Chondrite was found by John Wolfe near Franconia Arizona on October 31st 2002 with the original find weighing in at 4.75 kg. It took about a year for more finds to be made both by eye and with the use of metal detectors making the area an official strewn field.

All of the specimens for sale here were found by me with a metal detector and are 100% guaranteed to be authentic. Below is a photo of a 325 gram individual in situ (as found).
